History was made today at Sandy Ridge!

The first day of our inaugural racing season was an incredible success and a historic win for Boyd County and the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky.

We are grateful to every dignitary who joined us, along with our dedicated staff, vendors, partners, horsemen, jockeys and fans who helped make this long-awaited day possible. Today was more than the start of a racing season. It was the beginning of a new chapter for quarter horse racing in Kentucky, and we could not be prouder to share it with all of you.

And the fun is just getting started!

Racing continues tomorrow and Friday, with additional race days August 26–28 and September 5–6. For years, this day was a vision. Today, it became part of Kentucky history. Thank you for standing beside us at the starting line and every step of the way.
